womancomputerOnline safety is really important, especially as the scammers and hackers and other nogooders seem to be getting more numerous and bold in their tactics. So it’s with this in mind that I repeat the safety warnings so you aren’t sucked in by one who gets through the nets that all personals sites and social networking sites.

If you are contacted by anyone and any of these situations happens to you, it’s not a positive sign.  Nobody sincerely wanting a relationship with you is going to get into any of these areas soon after introduction.

  • Ask inappropriate questions
  • Ask for money or for you to pay for something for them
  • Want to speed up the pace beyond the your comfort level
  • Tell stories with inconsistencies, some which may sound grandiose
  • Give vague answers to specific questions
  • Urge you to compromise your principles
  • Constantly blame others for troubles in his  life
  • Insist on getting overly close, overly fast
  • Ask for the your login or password information on any account that you might have

As you know, there’s no reliable way to do background checks on everyone. If a website did a background check on someone today and listed that person as A OK and then the next day he or she is picked up for assault or worse, you’d have a false sense of security. Everyone should listen to their instincts and if something doesn’t seem quite right, move on.

There are a gazillion fantastic people looking for partners and great relationships are being formed every single day. However, there are a few duds who will never catch on about how to treat a partner – these are the ones you have to watch out for.
